Hendrik Harmenszn was born in September 1767 and his baptism took place on September 20th, 1767 in Lochem.1  Hendrik Harmenszn's father was Harmen Buijrink and his mother was Adriana Scholten.  His paternal grandparents were Berent Burink and Jenneken Nieuwenhuijs; his maternal grandparents were Hendrik Scholten and Harmina Harking. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Gerrit Jan, Jan Harmenszn, Berend Harmenszn, Jenneken Hermansdr, Jenneken and Janna.  He died at the age of 67 on May 10th, 1835 in Lochem.2
