Catharina was born in February 1780 in Arnhem and her baptism took place there on February 6th, 1780.1   Her godmother was Cornelia Tap. Catharina's father was Sebert Buijng and her mother was Maartje Willemsdr N.N.. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Gerrit Jan, Spaan, Arend, Dirkje, Cornelia, Sibila, Cornelia and Hendrina.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 53 on November 28th, 1833 in Arnhem.1
