Jannetje Brandsdr was born in July 1732 in Harderwijk and her baptism took place there on July 13th, 1732.1  Jannetje Brandsdr's father was Brand Geurtszn van den Broek and her mother was Hendrikjen Willemsdr Timmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Geurt Janszn van den Broek and Driesje Jansdr N.N.; her maternal grandparents were Willem Hartgers Timmer and Marritje Aaltsdr N.N.. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Lubbert Brandszn, Aalt Brandszn, Brandt Brandszn, Beertjen Brandsdr, Driesje Brandsdr and Marritje Brandsdr.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
