Driesje Brandsdr was born in April 1742 in Harderwijk and her baptism took place there on April 8th, 1742.1  Driesje Brandsdr's father was Brand Geurtszn van den Broek and her mother was Hendrikjen Willemsdr Timmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Geurt Janszn van den Broek and Driesje Jansdr N.N.; her maternal grandparents were Willem Hartgers Timmer and Marritje Aaltsdr N.N.. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Lubbert Brandszn, Aalt Brandszn, Brandt Brandszn, Jannetje Brandsdr, Beertjen Brandsdr and Marritje Brandsdr.  She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
