Willemke was born in 1717 and her baptism took place on December 26th, 1717 in Haaften.1   Her godmother was/is Geertruij hendricksdr en Rutje Otten. Willemke's father was Steven Gompertszn Blomhert and her mother is Dirkske Otten Swakhuijs.  Her paternal grandparents were Gompert Egbertszn Blomhert and Maria Koenen. She has six brothers and six sisters, named Gompert, Ot, Ott, Egbert, Jan, Willem, Ruttje, Mariken, Ruttie, Neeltjen, Heesken and Heesken.  She is the sixth oldest of the thirteen children.
