Metie was born in 1671 in Haaften and her baptism took place there on April 2nd, 1671 conducted by Reverend Cornelius Glummerus.1   Her godmother was Rijxken Willemsdr. Metie's father was Gijsbert Alertszn Blomhert and her mother is N.N. N.N..  Her paternal grandfather was Alert Stevenszn Blomhert and her paternal grandmother is N.N. N.N.. She had a brother and three sisters, named Willem, Eijlken, Geertien and Risken.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children.  Metie is no longer alive.
