Jan was born in 1684 and his baptism took place on February 17th, 1684 in Haaften conducted by Reverend Cornelius Glummerus.1   His godmother was Jexken Reijnen. Jan's father was Aert Gompert Willemszn Blomhert and his mother is N.N. N.N..  His paternal grandparents were Gompert Willemszn Blomhert and Mechteld Hendricksdr. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Gompert, Arien, Mecchel, Dirksken and Meriken.  He was the fifth oldest of the seven children.  Jan is no longer alive.
