Arien was born in 1726 and his baptism took place on June 23rd, 1726 in Haaften.1   His godmother was/is Geertje Hendriksdr. Arien's father is Arien Hendrikszn Aldens and his mother is Neelken Dirksdr Rink.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrick Dirckszn Aldens and N.N. N.N.. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Dirk, Hendrick, Jan, Jan, Metje, Teuntje and Teuntje.  He is the youngest of the eight children.
