    In the name of God, Amen this eleventh day of June in the year of our Lord one-thousand-eight-hundred and eighteen, I,
    David Richmond of Guilford in the County of Chenango and State of New York, do now call to mind my mortality and knowing it
    is appointed for all men once to die; and being almost worn out with old age and my infirmities of body; but of sound mind
    and memory thanks be given to God for the same; do make, constitute and declare this to be my last will and testament in
    manner following. Revoking and ameliating by these present all and every instrument or instruments will or wills heretofore
    by me made or declared either by word or writing and this only to be taken for my last will and Testament, and no other.
    First of all,
    I will my soul to God who gave it me and my body to the dust to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter
    named and that my funeral charges and just
    debts be well and truly paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease by my Executor hereafter named.
    Item.
    
    I give and bequeath unto my well-beloved wife Nancy Richmond all my household goods to be at her own disposal, also one half of my dwelling house and one third part of the barn and corn crib, and my riding horse and furniture and two cows
    and six sheep and the use of one third part of my farm for her use during her life time.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath unto my well-beloved Son, Joseph Richmond one dollar in money and one fourth part of my wearing apparel. The reason why I give him no more is because I have heretofore given him his share in my estate.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, David Richmond now living in Gloucester in the County of Providence and state of Rhode Island one dollar in money and one fourth part of my wearing apparel. The reason why I give him no more is because I have heretofore given him his share in my estate.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, Thomas Richmond one dollar in money and one fourth part of my wearing apparel. The reason why I give him no more is because I have heretofore given him his share in my estate.
    
    Item. I give unto my well beloved son, Seth Richmond all the whole of my farm whereon I now live containing by estimation
    one hundred and fifty acres and is the same farm I purchased of Arthur Burlingame, with the imbarressment of his mother’s
    thirds on the same during her life; unto him, his heirs and assigns forever; and , also all my stock of cattle, sheep and
    swine that I haven’t heretofore given away in this will and also my farming tools of every kind and all the securities and
    money that I shall have at the time of my decease.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Lucy Smith, wife of Dexter Smith one hundred dollars to be paid by
    my Executor hereafter named in one year after my decease.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Esther Westcott, wife of Joseph Westcott one hundred dollars to be
    paid by my Executor hereafter named in one year and one half after my decease.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Lydia Arnold, wife of Stephen Arnold one hundred dollars to be paid
    by my Executor hereafter named in two years after my decease.
    
    Item. I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Nancy Wood, wife of Joseph Wood one hundred dollars to be paid by my
    Executor hereafter named in two years and one half after my decease.
    
    Furthermore, I give and bequeath unto my well beloved grandson, Samuel Richmond, son of Joseph Richmond one hundred dollars
    to be paid by my Executor hereafter named to be paid in three years after my decease.
    
    Furthermore, I do hereby appoint my well beloved son, Seth Richmond Executor to this my last will and testament. In witness
    whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above. David Richmond
    
    Written, signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named David Richmond to be his last will and Testament in the
    presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator.
