David and Nancy were married in a religious ceremony in December 1766 in Gloucester by Reverend Joseph Winsor.1 They had five sons and four daughters, named Joseph, David, Thomas, Samuel, Seth, Polly, Esther, Lydia and Nancy. There are no more children.
He died at the age of 70 on October 14th, 1818 in Guilford. His burial was on October 15th, 1818 in Latham's Corners.33

In the name of God, Amen this eleventh day of June in the year of our Lord one-thousand-eight-hundred and eighteen, I, David Richmond of Guilford in the County of Chenango and State of New York, do now call to mind my mortality and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die; and being almost worn out with old age and my infirmities of body; but of sound mind and memory thanks be given to God for the same; do make, constitute and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner following. Revoking and ameliating by these present all and every instrument or instruments will or wills heretofore by me made or declared either by word or writing and this only to be taken for my last will and Testament, and no other. First of all, I will my soul to God who gave it me and my body to the dust to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and that my funeral charges and just debts be well and truly paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease by my Executor hereafter named. Item.
I give and bequeath unto my well-beloved wife Nancy Richmond all my household goods to be at her own disposal, also one half of my dwelling house and one third part of the barn and corn crib, and my riding horse and furniture and two cows and six sheep and the use of one third part of my farm for her use during her life time.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my well-beloved Son, Joseph Richmond one dollar in money and one fourth part of my wearing apparel. The reason why I give him no more is because I have heretofore given him his share in my estate.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, David Richmond now living in Gloucester in the County of Providence and state of Rhode Island one dollar in money and one fourth part of my wearing apparel. The reason why I give him no more is because I have heretofore given him his share in my estate.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, Thomas Richmond one dollar in money and one fourth part of my wearing apparel. The reason why I give him no more is because I have heretofore given him his share in my estate.
Item. I give unto my well beloved son, Seth Richmond all the whole of my farm whereon I now live containing by estimation one hundred and fifty acres and is the same farm I purchased of Arthur Burlingame, with the imbarressment of his mother’s thirds on the same during her life; unto him, his heirs and assigns forever; and , also all my stock of cattle, sheep and swine that I haven’t heretofore given away in this will and also my farming tools of every kind and all the securities and money that I shall have at the time of my decease.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Lucy Smith, wife of Dexter Smith one hundred dollars to be paid by my Executor hereafter named in one year after my decease.

The Last Will and Testament of Nancy Richmond of the town of Guilford County of Chenango State of New York. Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following, that is to say:
First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughters, Lucy Smith, the wife of Dexter Smith; and Esther Westcott, the wife of Joseph Westcott; and Lydia Arnold, the wife of Stephen Arnold; and Nancy Wood, the wife of Joseph Wood all my household furniture and clothing whatever name or nature to be equally divided betwixt the above mentioned daughters.
And lastly, as to all the rest, residue and remainder of my property whatever name or nature, I give and bequeath the same to my three eldest sons and the above mentioned daughters, which contains Joseph Richmond, David Richmond, Thomas Richmond, and the said Lucy Smith and Esther Westcott and Lydia Arnold, and Nancy Wood, which is to be equally divided to my sons and daughters as above mentioned; except one dollar which I give to my youngest son, Seth Richmond which said several legacies or kind of money I will and order to be paid to the said respective legatees within six months after my decease.
Joseph Richmond whom I hereby appoint sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
