James Lardant & Mary Ann Vaughan

James and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on April 7th, 1849 in St Johns, Bethnal Green, Middlesex.¹ They had three sons and three daughters, named John, Henry, James, Mary, Sarah and Louisa.

  James Lardant & Mary Ann Vaughan had a double wedding ceremony with William Henry Vaughan, Mary's brother, and Mary Hallum Redwood. Each couple signed the marriage certificates as witnesses to the other couple's ceremony. Mary Ann and Mary Hallum gave the same address, 41 Church Row, Bethnal Green. James and William were both silk weavers, and probably close friends. Marriage certificate of these two, who had a double wedding with Mary Ann's brother William and his wife Mary Hallum Redwood.
