Florence Mary Middleton

Florence was born on November 30th, 1902 in East Dulwich, London England.¹ She died due to Killed by enemy action V2 on home at the age of 42 on February 1st, 1945 in Chingford, Essex, England. She was buried in Chingford Cemetery, Essex, England.²

General Notes
- On Thursday, 1st February 1945, at 2.07p.m., my mother Florence Mary Eacott was at home, 8 York Road, Chingford, London E4. A German V2 long-range rocket dropped close by, destroying our home and killing my mother.
  On any other weekday, she would have been working at a grocery store, Titus Ward, in Chingford Mount Road, about a mile from home. Thursday was "early closing day" and apparently she had just arrived home on her afternoon off.
