William Capobianco

William was born on March 16th, 1913. He died at the age of 84 on August 18th, 1997.

- WILLIAM CAPOBIANCO, 84, of Admiral Street, a finance specialist with the Department of Urban Renewal and Development for the City of Providence for three years, retiring in 1978, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Lena N. (Aiello) Capobianco.
  
  A lifelong Providence resident, he was a son of the late Nicola and Addolorata (Colaluca) Capobianco. He attended Providence College. Mr. Capobianco had briefly worked as a Providence patrolman.
  
  He was the owner and operator of the former Empire Wet Wash Laundry from 1942 to 1959. Mr. Capobianco had also worked in sales for Dag Motors from 1959 to 1961. He had been the renewal inspector for the Code Enforcement Office, Division of Minimum Housing Standards for the City of Providence from 1961 to 1975.
  
  Mr. Capobianco was a member of the Fourth Ward Democratic Club, a member of the Democratic State Central Committee and a member of the Eagle Park Independent Club.
  
  Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Dolores DeLellis of Belmont, Mass., Teresa DeCubellis of Tiverton, Pamela Rotella of Providence, and Deborah Guadagno of Johnston; three sisters, Angel Conti, Lydia DeAngelis and Ida Pezzullo, all of Johnston; and 10 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Giovanni Capobianco, Theresa Fillipone Pansera and Esther Cianci.
  
  The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Hawkins Street. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
