Source: Barbara Braswell, using daughter, Nancy's, Old Age Pension Census enquiry which gave Jane Todd as the name of her mother.
The only Todd in the Griffiths Valuation in Macosquin is a John Todd in the townland of Cam. This is a distinct possibility for the father (or olderst brother) of Jane as she called her second child John! He shares a farm of 25 acres however, which makes his daughter quite an unlikely match for a landless labourer - but not impossible.
She died, a widow, in Balteagh. I wonder who she was living in Balteagh with as her husband died in letterloan, which is where they lived and her PAD was her daughter, Sarah Doey, also from Lertterloan. It may well have been my Great Great grandmother, Ellen Gibosn McKeown, as she was in Balteagh in the 1901 census.
