For some reason we didn't source that little family very well but because someone else had her (Sarah J Gray) married to a Frederic Austin Rathburn I went back to see what I had seen before. Mine was correct but he was also as she (Sarah Julia Gray) married twice. The researcher does not have past James W. Gray and so you would be helping him out, I suspect, unless he has some juicy oral history.
He basically has the dates of FAR as 1864-1945 and SJG as Jun 2, 1888- Dec 1963. Their two children - Grace P. Rathburn b c. 1917 and Charlotte N. Rathburn b c. 1925 both still living. I do not know how he is related if he is. It wasn't clear on his tree.
His sources were:1900, 1920, 1930 Census and Soc Sec Index. Interesting that living with them in the 1930 Census is an Elain C. McDonald, age 2 2/12, a niece whose mother was born in New York and whose father was born in Conn.
There are several Rathburn families in Hebron, Conn.
