Slashes Throat as Visitor Leaves Him
Harry Arbuckle, organizer for the International Association of Machinists, cut his throat in his room at a downtown hotel at 12:25 p.m. Sunday and died in the General Hospital three hours later.
J. McMillan, treasurer of the organization, who resides at 3195 West Twenty-ninth Avenue, had visited Arbuckle and was about to leave when Arbuckle walked to the dresser, picked up the razor and slashed his throat.
"I want to die," Arbuckle is said to have told police.
Investigation disclosed that Arbuckle, returned soldier, is believed to have been in ill-health for some time.
