A. W, Fairbairn Dies at 80
Brockvllle. August 2. - News has reached here of the death in Brooklyn, N.Y., after an illness of two months, of Alfred W. Fairbairn, aged 80, who was born here and spent nearly all of his life in Brockville travelling throughout Ontario and Quebec for the Gurney Foundry Company and other concerns. He was one of the founders of the Brockville Commercial Travellers' Club, a member of Salem Lodge, A.F. & A.M. and an active Liberal. He is survived by two sons and two daughters: Leslie L. Fairbairn, Chicago; Dr. Gerald F. Fairbairn, Belmont, Cal., Mrs. Norma P. Winans and Mrs. Agnes R. Williams, Brooklyn. A brother, Frank E. Fairbairn, lives in Sarnia.
