LITHGOW DEATH
LATE MR. A GLENDINNING
The death occurred early this morning of Mr. Archibald Glendinning, of 120 Macauley-street, who passed away in the district hospital at the age of 65 years, after a period of illness lasting almost two years.
Born in Scotland, the deceased came to Australia in 1926, taking up immediate residence at Lithgow, where he resided until the time of his death.
Always an active man, the de ceased was employed in the mining industry until he retired from the Steelworks Colliery a few years ago. He had been employed there for a lengthy period.
A member of Lodge Kilwinning, the late Mr. Glendinning was highly respected and well known through his association with the Workmen's Club, of which he had been a member from the time of his coming to Lithgow.
He leaves a wife, Elizabeth, two sons, George (Lithgow) and Tom Crow's Nest, Sydney), and a daughter, Mrs. Livingstone, of Lithgow, to all of whom deepest sympathy is extended.
Funeral arrangements are in the hands of Matthews and Lemon.
