Tram Connie's Husband Had Tickets On Himself
Ellen Munachen is a tram conductress, but her husband is the one who seems to have had tickets on himself.
William Munachen, according to evidence, was not averse to doing a light fantastic on a dance floor.
In fact, his wife and a lady friend followed him to the Unity Theatre one night and waited about outside until Munachen re-appeared.
The women following him, Munachen mooched down towards Roe-st, entered a certain house and was there for about three-quarters of an hour, declared his wife before Chief Justice Northmore during the week.
'When he came out I went up to him and asked him what he was doing. He said that it was no concern of mine,' said Mrs. Munachen.
Ellen Osborne said that she accompanied Mrs. Munachen on this night and agreed with petitioner's evidence in detail.
Munachen, it was stated, had not cohabited with his wife since 1941 when he went away with the Army. Now, it was added, he only went home to see his three children.
Mrs. Munachen, represented by lawyer Howard-Bath, got her divorce.
