John Turner Dawson marriage
newspaper article
The latest of Alberta's bachelors to join the noble army of benedicts is Mr. John A. Turner, of the Clydesdale Ranche, Millarville, who departed from the ranks of bachelordom at an early hour this morning, when he was married at Bankend, the residence of Mr. P. Turner Hone, to Miss Dawson, of Warriston, Scotland, who arrived from the Old Country yesterday morning. The Rev. Mr. Herdman tied the matrimonial knot tight and fast and, and after the wedding breakfast the happy couple set out for the bridegroom's ranch amid a shower of rice and old shoes, one of the latter clinging fast and accompanying them the whole way. Miss Dawson, though just arrived from Scotland, is by no means a stranger in Alberta, having visited her sister. Mrs. Robt. Turner, two or three years ago. A large circle of friends will join THE HERALD in wishing the young couple a happy and prosperous life.
