Carol Nell Panos completes plans
Miss Carol Nell Panos and Alan Graham Holmes will be married at 8 p.m. June 4 at the First Presbyterian Church in Pratt City by the Rev. A. B. DeGallaspy, assisted by A. A. Mackie. The bride-elect will be given in marriage by her father, Jimmie Panos and attended as matron of honor by her sister, Mrs. E. Paul Hamm. Bridesmaids and matron will be Misses Mary Panos, sister of the bride-elect, Margaret Stewart and Mrs. Robert A. Moore. MRS. HUGH DAVIS cousin of the bridegroom-to-be will be the musician. Ralph E. Holmes will serve his brother as best man. Ushers will be Roy G. Lantrip, step-father of the bride-elect, James P. Barrett, Robert A. Moore, brother-in-law of the bride-to-be and Dale R. Holmes, brother of the bridegroom.

Carol Panos to wed Catherine Thomas Alan G. Holmes tonight
Miss Carol Nell Panos will become the bride of Alan Graham Holmes in a ceremony to be performed at 8 o’clock tonight at the First Presbyterian Church of Pratt City. The Rev. A. B. DeGallaspy will officiate. A. A. Mackie will give a prayer. Parents of the couple are Mrs. R. G. Lantrip Jr.,  Jimmie Panos, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Holmes. Candles will be lighted by Dale R. Holmes, brother of the bridegroom and Robert A. Moore. Mrs. E. Paul Hamm will attend her sister as matron of honor. Miss Mary Panos, sister of the bride and Miss Margaret Stewart will be bridesmaids. Mrs. Robert A. Moore, sister of the bridegroom will be bridesmatron. They will wear frocks of blush pink taffeta with bouffant skirts. They will carry pink roses. MR. PANOS will give his daughter in marriage. Her gown of Chantilly lace, tulle and satin is designed with basque bodice, Victorian collar and long sleeves. The neckline is embroidered with seed pearls and sequins. The bouffant skirt of tiers of tulle edged with Chantilly lace sweeps into a chapel-length train. The shoulder-length veil of illusion will be secured by a cap of lace. The bride will carry a white orchid upon a prayer book. Mr. Holmes will serve his son as best man. Ushers will be Roy G. Lantrip, stepfather of the bride, James P. Barrett, and the candle lighters. The reception will be in the church parlors. Assisting will be Mrs. Donald Rosser, Mrs. Joe Elvin Smith, Mrs. Godfrey Bottomley, Misses Patty Highfield, Barbara Jean Smith, Jean Findley and Kay Parkinson. After a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains the couple will be at home in Auburn.
