A. K. Rennie fire
newspaper article
FORMER SELMIAN IS HERO OF VINCINNATI FIRE
A. K. Rennie, formerly of Selma, proved to be the hero in a big fire at Cincinnati last night, according to news dispatched from that place. It is reported that the hotel in which Mr. Rennie was staying while in Cincinnati as a witness in the suit of the government against the National Cash Register Co., caught fire, and that Mr. Rennie, seeing there was a lady guest in great peril undertook to rescue her from the burning hostlery.
She seemed to think that he was a burglar and he was compelled to forcibly rescue the woman from the perilous building against her will. Mr. Rennie is a brother of Mr. John Rennie, the congenial manager of the Selma Steam Laundry, but left here several years algo and is now a Montgomery druggist.
