Funeral Services Held for Mrs. John Rennie
Services for Mrs. John M. Rennie, 79, whose death occurred at 6:30 a.m. Sunday after a two weeks' illness from pneumonia. were conducted Monday at 9.30 a. m. from the residence of her son, John C. Rennie, 522 Broad street with Dr. C. C. Daniels. Pastor of the Church Street Methodist church officiating.
Interment was made in Live Oak cemetery where Mrs. Rennie's husband is buried also. For 72 years Mrs. Rennie had been a resident of this city, coming here when a child. She was a member of the Methodist church. She made her home for many years at 115 Selma avenue.
Surviving are her two sons, John of this city, head of the Selma Steam Laundry and Alston K. Rennie of Jacksonville, Fla., six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. B. Meyerstein, formerly of Birmingham and now of this city.
Pall bearers for the funeral were, F. H. Carter, Emmett Carter, Henry Plant, Chambliss Keith, R. H. Mangum and E. M. McDaniel.
