comments on Crawford family
conversation
The relative that we visited in Winchburgh (next village to Kirkliston) was Helen Rutherford. She was the daughter of Grandad Thomson's older sister Margaret, who married and became a Mrs Crawford. So Helen her daughter married and became Rutherford and had a son George and daughter Margaret who were both older than Jan. Helen's husband died and sometime when I was very small, she had a son Douglas (illegitimate to someone she kept house for) and later in life married again and became a Mrs Haddow. She died a long number of years ago. She kept in touch with the Thomson relatives who emigrated to Calgary, after the Towers family lost touch.
