KAY SWANSON
Kay Swanson, an executive secretary who lived in Larkspur, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1992, at Marin General Hospital after a short illness. She was 50.
Ms. Swanson was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia. She lived in Santa Barbara and Seattle before settling in the Bay Area in 1983.
For the past four years, Ms. Swanson worked as assistant to the president at Global Business Network in Emeryville, a strategic planning firm for international businesses. Before that, she worked at the Dean Witter brokerage firm in San Francisco.
Ms. Swanson enjoyed music and dancing, and at one time was the assistant manager of Roland’s jazz club in San Francisco.
In recent years, Ms. Swanson spoke to women’s groups and served on panels for the speaker’s bureau of the Marin AIDS Project.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Ogden of Waikoloa, Hawaii, a sister, Lynn Green of San Jose, and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Wednesday.
The family asks that donations be made in her name to the Marin AIDS Project, 1660 Second St., San Rafael, 94901-2707.
Arrangements were by the Neptune Society in San Rafael.
