David Rennie, Dundee mason's strike

newspaper article
THE STRIKE OF DUNDEE MASONS.
A meeting of the Dundee masons at present on strike was held in Blackness Hall this forenoon, when an address was given by David Rennie, Glasgow, Organising Delegate of the Scottish Operative Masons' Society. It was reported that already 20 men had been sent to the Glasgow district, where work is plentiful, so that the strike roll in Dundee has been relieved this extent. The operatives who had come out on strike, it was stated, had the full sympathy of their fellows Glasgow and of the Central Society, which was prepared to lend every assistance, the more so when, owing to the shortness the day, the men are only able to work 7 1/2 hours per day.
