Helen Towers church obituary

obituary, church newsletter
Transition.
Late on Saturday, November 16th, Mrs. Nell Towers (85) passed suddenly into the Spiritual World. Many will remember Mrs. Towers for her drive and determination, a characteristic which enabled her to attend Services of Worship way beyond the time when her physical limitations would have restricted a lesser person.
Her past contributions of tablet, potted hough, meat loaf and tea cosys have helped the Society raise funds for various projects.
At this time our thoughts go out to her family, in particular her daughters Jan and Helen; and grand-daughters who lived so closely with her, Ruth and Avril. Mrs. Towers requested that her passing should be a time of thanksgiving, so let us rejoice with her at finding the freedom of the Spiritual World 'where neither rust nor moth corrupt'.
"In a word, to grow old in heaven is to grow young." (Heaven and Hell 414)
