  • Jeff, this Hannah Moon is the daughter of James & Sarah Moon that came from Bath, England in the spring of 1832, to Port Whitby, Ontario, Ca. The family settled in Reach Township, Ont. James had 4 children with his first wife, Sophia Trotman, Edward, John, Sophia, & Ester. Sophia died about 1817. He remarried Sarah Jones on April 6, 1818, at St. Michael's Church, Bath, England. They had 11 children: James Jr. b.1819, Ester b. 1820, Elizabeth b. 1822, William b. 1824, (twins) Martha & Mary b.1825, Robert b.1827, Hannah b.1829, Sarah b.1832, Samuel b. 1835, Susan b. 1939. The last 3 born in Canada. I have very little info on Thomas Marshall as of yet. Born in November, don't know what year. He Died July 18, 1886. I have a Picture of James & Sarah Moon who are buried at Pleasant Point Cemetery, Mariposa Township, Ontario, Ca. Also a picture of Esther Moon (Hannahs sister) and her husband William Wilson and about 4 generations of info on this family. If you could figure out which Mr. and Mrs. Moon's picture you have it would sure help to solve this puzzle. I'm told that the Marshall family came from Scotland. Don't know when or where from yet.
