William Ferrell

William was born after 1720. He died in 1780 in Bedford Co., Virginia.

General Notes
- Came to Virginia from Pine Tree Hill (now Camden) in Kershaw Co., South Carolina in 1762. Quakers in Wateree MM near Wateree River and then South River Monthly Meeting (MM) at Lynchburg, Virginia. Children all disowned by the Church from 1774 to 1790, as recorded in Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, Vol VI, p. 310.
  William's will dated 2-12-1780, proven 10-22-1780 in Bedford county. Allotment of land to the heirs in July 1783. Owned over 3200 acres of land, mostly on Goose Creek in Bedford county. Division of 475 acres on Archers Creek in Campbell county among the eight daughters was subject of an 1823-1829 suit in Superior Court of Chancery in Lynchburg, Virginia by Catherine Stockton, one of the daughters.
