Name recorded as "Sandor", since he was  Jew.  At that time, all men were "Sandor" and all Jewish women were called "Sara."  He was also called Samuel Blau in some records.

While he was described as a "locksmith," he really excelled at creating ornamental iron gates (per oral history account by his daughter Trude).
