Owain was born in 1100 in Aberffraw Castle, Angelesey, Wales.1 He died at the age of 69 in December 1169 in Carnarvonshire, Wales. He was buried in Bangor Cathedral, Is Gwyrfai, Caernavonshire, Wales.2 1
