‌John and Elizabeth  Lane were married in a religious ceremony on January 14th, 1831 in Henry Co., VA..  They had four sons and seven daughters, named James, William H. H., John Vincent Witcher, Eliza Sue, Lucy, Mary Jane, Sarah Malinda, Pauline, Martha, Emily V. and Eliza Ella.
