Adeline is listed on the 1850 Osage Co. MO Census, age 18, born in TN, living in household #71 with John and Margaret (Noblett) Bowman. Living nearby in household #68 is Henry Skaggs and his second wife, Elizabeth Momom, and Henry's son, Asa, who later married Adeline. (Henry Skaggs first wife who had died in 1834 was Elizabeth Noblett, believed to be an aunt of Adeline's father, Thomas Noblett.)
Elizabeth was not named in her mother's will and this fact has caused much confusion among Noblett researchers as to whether she was actually a child of Thomas and Elizabeth.
Adeline is listed on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Maries Co. MO Census records with her husband and children.
She is listed on the 1900 Maries Co. MO Census records as a widow. She is the head of the household living in Jefferson Township. Living with her is her daughter Margaret age 37, and sons Harvey age 48 and Ely T. age 34. Also inculded is the information that she is the mother of 7 children, 5 of whom are living, that she was born in TN, and that both of her parents were born in TN.
She is listed on the 1910 Maries Co.MO Census records with the same three children, but Harvey is listed as the head of the household. She is listed on the 1920 Maries Co living in the household with her son-in-law Thomas H. Blackwell. Living in a seperate household are the three children with whom she had previously lived.

From History of Maries Co, MO by Everett M. King, page 643: "Angeline" [Adeline] Noblett married Asa Skaggs. They lived their entire married lives and died on a farm on the old Springfield Road just east of Lanes Prairie and not far from the old Noblett home place; no dates are available for any of the family. Of the six children born to them. Margaret, Harvey, and Eli, died at advanced ages, single, and one other son died in infancy. John, who was twice married (his first wife was Sallie Schram and his second Ann Engle) died childless. Bettie, the remaining child, married first William West, and was the mother of seven children, of whom Oliver and Jesse died single; the living are: Henry, John, Viola, and Mamie (the last now Mrs. Hatmaker) in St. Louis, and Mary, wife of Len Wilson, at Lanes Prairie. After the death of William West his widow married Thomas Blackwell, but no children were born of the marriage".
