  Sir William Mallory of Studley and Hutton was a son ofhisfather'sfirstwife.  He marrie d J o an, daughter of Sir John NortonofNortonConyers byMargaret, daughter of Sir Robert Wa r d o fGivendale.(ForConyers, seeGlovers Vis. of York, p. 244).  Sir Williamdied April27, 1 54 7, and inq.P.M. and was held Sept. 21, 1547.  Hiseldest son andheirwasChristopher Mallo r y , who survived him only eightyears.  At thetimeofhis death, Christopher had no childre n a n d hislands wereinheritedundera posthumous son, John, was subsequently born toChristop her .  In1578,John had a writ Amoveas Manus for a third part ofthe manorsofStudleyand Nunwi c h , late of his fther Christopher.  (Vic.His.
