• General Notes

  Tradition in the Eli Geisler family is that Eli moved to the area now known as Maries Co. MO when he was seventeen years old which would be about 1835.
  
  In 1850 Eli and Charlotte bought the original Noblett place that had belonged to her mother's family, located a mile or two west of High Gate and made it their home until his death in 1896.  His heirs sold the property in the1940s.
  
  Eli and Charlotte are listed on the following U.S.Census records: 1840 Gasconade Co. MO, 1850 Osage Co. MO , 1860 and 1870 Maries Co. MO. They never moved, it was just that the area where they lived kept being splint off into a new county.
  
  Eli and his second wife, Nancy, are listed on  he 1880 MariesCo. KY Census.
