Carrie Viola was born on October 31st, 1889 in Davie County, NC.1 Carrie Viola's father was Zenus Dewitt Foster and her mother was Sarah Ellen Howard. Her paternal grandparents were William M Foster and Emeline Potts. She had five brothers and five sisters, named George W, William Benjamin, Kelly Franklin, Albert Simeon, Ernest Hobson, Jennie, Mattie, Notie Esidore Isadore, Ester Pauline and Mary Ellen. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 90 on June 11th, 1980 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC.-
