Dovey Crabtree 
General Notes
She was born in May 1842 in Kentucky, the eighth child of William Humberston Wheelon Crabtree and _____ _____ . There was debate whether Ansadona belonged in this family but she does. William T. Crabtree says in his witness affidavit the 19th of March, 1890, for the Sarah Shipley pension application No. 379,798, that he went to visit Park Shipley who married his sister. Ansadona would have been born in Kentucky not Arkansas as the 1870 census record indicates since the Crabtree family moved to Arkansas about 1852. The 1850 and the 1900 census list her birthplace as Kentucky.
