‌Mordecai and Sarah J were married in a religious ceremony before 1855 in Pennsylvania.¹   They had five sons and four daughters, named William Horton, Reese K, John Lewis, Earnest Sloan, Charles Brockway, Anna Elizabeth, Mary Imogene, Frances Hoffman and Harriet Lemmon.
