‌Marcus and Mary were married in a religious ceremony in March 1823.¹   They had four sons and eight daughters, named Elliott Stanley, Henry Clay, John Quincy, Oliver, Jane Wilson, Elizabeth, Ellen, Harriet, Julia, Lucy, Martha and Mary.
