‌James and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on December 15th, 1757.¹   They had four sons and five daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Israel, James, Joel, Russell, Olive, Sarah, Betsey, Lois, Jerusha and Irenus.
