‌Benjamin and Sally were married in a religious ceremony on August 5th, 1799 in Litchfield, Litchfield, CT.¹   They had five sons and four daughters, named Stanley, Frederick, Benjamin, Lewis, Sylvester, Honor, Mary, Sally Maria and Diana Carter.
