Sophus and Margrethe Kirstine were married in a religious ceremony in 1877.1 They had five sons and seven daughters, named Hans Fredrik, Wilhelm, Jens, Carl, Gerhardt, Abel, Henriette Ida Marie, Mince Augusta, Abel Elisabeth, Karen Hedvig Jenny Gerhardt, Valborg Christine and Ingeborg.
