Georg ll and Sofie Eleonore were married in a religious ceremony in 1627. They had three sons and eleven daughters, named Ludwig Vl, Georg, Johann, Magdalene Sibylle, Eleonore, Elisabeth Amalie, Luise, Anna Marie, Anna Sofie Abbess, Amalie Juliane, Henriette Dorothea, Auguste Philippine, Agnes and Marie Hedwig.
