General Notes
In the "Shattuck Memorials" there is speculation that this William was
the patriarch of the family, but died on the ocean crossing to America,
leaving his son Samuel, and his widow Damaris. Lemuel Shattuck
remained unsatisfied as to the truth of this claim
‌William and Johanne were married in a religious ceremony on January 29th, 1598 in Somerset, England. They had a son named Samuel William.

Samuel William was born about 1600 in England. He died on June 6th, 1698 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.
