Andrew J. was born on September 13th, 1825 in Danby, Vermont. Andrew J.'s father was James Sargent and his mother was Naomi Harrington. His paternal grandparents were James Sargent and Polly Roach. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Hezakiah, John, Mary Jane, Nancy Ann, Melinda and Lucinda. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 66 on January 29th, 1892 in Mendon, Vermont. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetary, West Rutland, Vermont.General Notes
