Maurice was born in April 1281 in Berkeley Castle, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England.  He died at the age of 45 on May 31st, 1326 in Wallingford Castle, Wallingford, Berkshire, England.  He was buried on May 31st, 1326 in St. Augustine's Bristol.
