‌Richard Sr. and Grissele were married in a religious ceremony about 1723 in Tuckahoe Creek Plantation, Goochland, VA.  They had four sons and five daughters, named Joseph, Richard, William, John G., Lucy, Elizabeth, Joanna, Frances and Martha.
