Text: This couple is noted in the family archives. Their notes say that he did not yet use the surname 'Phillips' though his son did. The title, 'Llwch Llawen Fawr', is Welsh of 'Lord of Cilsant'. Welsh was the main family language, but English was making inroads. This is the first individual named in the archives supplied by Picton Castle.
