General Notes

Had at least 4 children, one of whom, Elena (or Helen) was married at Bolton on 5th Nov 1510 to sir Patrick Hepburn, younger of Waughton.  As Elyne Home's mother, and this Sir Patrick's mother were both daughters of the house of Lauder of Bass, a Papal dispensation for the marriage was rendered necessary because of the degrees of consanguinity.
