John was born on May 6th, 1811 in Armagh, Armagh, Ireland and his baptism took place in Tran Falger, Upper, Canada.  He died at the age of 65 on December 16th, 1876 in Millville, Cache, UT.  He was buried on December 18th, 1876 in Salt Lake Cem., Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.
